Terms of Service
Rules and conditions for using Adaptr.ia as a teacher or institution.
Last updated: July 1, 2026
1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Adaptr.ia (“Adaptr”, “we”, “us”, “the Service”) operated by Adaptr.ia.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a school or institution, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. The service
Adaptr.ia helps teachers upload teaching materials, review AI-generated draft concept graphs, validate learning paths, run diagnostics, and manage student progress — with teacher approval required before content is activated or shared.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable. Beta or experimental features may be offered as-is.
3. Accounts and access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate account information and notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
4. Teacher and school responsibilities
You are responsible for how the Service is used in your classroom or institution, including compliance with applicable education, privacy, and child-protection laws.
You must obtain any required consents before uploading student information or sharing content with students or parents.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use or share.
- Attempt to bypass security, access controls, or usage limits.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or other users’ access.
6. AI-generated content
The Service may generate draft concept graphs, suggestions, reports, or other outputs using artificial intelligence. These outputs are provided for your review and may contain errors.
You remain responsible for reviewing, correcting, and approving all content before it is used with students or sent to parents. AI output does not replace professional judgment.
7. Student and parent access
Student-facing features and parent communications are activated only when you explicitly approve them. We do not guarantee delivery of messages to third-party email systems beyond our reasonable efforts.
8. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed according to the pricing shown at signup or in your account. Fees are stated in Canadian dollars unless otherwise indicated.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled according to our published billing policy and applicable law.
9. Intellectual property
We retain ownership of the Service, software, branding, and underlying technology. You retain ownership of content you upload, subject to the license below.
You grant Adaptr a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to provide and improve the Service, including AI-assisted processing of materials you submit.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adaptr will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100), whichever is greater.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons.
Sections that by nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute will be brought in the courts located in Quebec, Canada, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance, unless otherwise required by law.
